		<description><![CDATA[[...] Altar Eagle is the project of married couple Brad Rose (who runs the Digitalis label) and Eden Hemming. There&#8217;s a holistic chemistry to their work that lies just under the surface that gives &#8220;Parallel Lives&#8221; a subtly pretty and sad aura. An echoed steel drum ebbs and flows gently, with synth lines and warm bass added to Hemming&#8217;s soft monotone as the song progresses. Hearing it feels like listening to a prism. &#8220;Parallel Lives&#8221; is a song about dreams, and Hemming&#8217;s lyrics allude to their destructive power without veering into cheesy territory: &#8220;If they could dream like I dream/ They would melt into dust, they would melt into dirt, they would melt into air&#8221;. 		<description><![CDATA[[...] Altar Eagle (Brad Rose and Eden Hemming) have announced their follow up LP, Nightrunners, to the 2010 wonder Mechanical Gardens.  Nightrunners comes out in October on Digitalis (vinyl/digital) and Crash Symbols (cassette featuring remixes from SEEKERSINTERNATIONAL, No UFOs, Nomadic Firs, Ricardo Donoso, Svamps (a new group featuring Kianna Alarid of Tilly &amp; the Wall and Discoverer), and more).  They have released two tracks from it, &#8221;Carousel Ocean&#8221; and &#8220;Parallel Lives&#8221; and boy are they killer.  These two pulse and pulse like some sort of radiant information overload that builds and multiplies with organic/electronic sounds&#8230;all the while it&#8217;s kept contained by their soft vocals and soothing dreampop casings.  Check them: [...]]]></description>
